Shadow Mountain Estates Basic Information
Shadow Mountain Estates is located just off Highway 34 and sits in a beautiful little pocket of Grand Lake. The town of Grand Lake is about five miles north of Shadow Mountain Estates as well as shopping, dining, and adventure. The subdivision is beautiful with plenty of nature and wildlife that resides there. Shadow Mountain Estates offers amazing views of Shadow Mountain Lake as well as many other natural points of interest. The neighborhood is an amazing place to live that will make anyone comfortable and happy.
Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake
Shadow Mountain Lake sits just across the way with a very short drive taking less than five minutes. The lake is 1,346 acres of surface area. There's plenty of opportunity on the lake with boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and more. Enjoy the lake in its frozen state with ice fishing, and snowmobiling on the lake. Both of these deep blue lakes are great to have just outside of Shadow Mountain Estates.
Green Ridge Boat Launch
Having a boat launch nearby is one huge benefit of living in Shadow Mountain Estates. The Green Ridge Boat Launch is a one-lane boat launch that is located near Shadow Mountain Estates. The boat launch is operated by the U.S. Forest Service. Boat inspections are required and use is only allowed when there is a Colorado Parks and Wildlife inspector is present, there are also paid parking and restrooms.
Surrounding Activities
There's plenty to do in Grand County, and sometimes it's hard to pick. Shadow Mountain Estates is right in the middle of all of the fun with Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Lake Granby all within a fifteen-minute drive. Rocky Mountain National Park, with 415 square miles of land, sits just north of Shadow Mountain Estates. Just south is Granby Ranch and further south is the famous Winter Park ski resort. Both ski areas are great for those who love to ski or even those just curious and wanting to learn. Another great winter activity is snowmobiling and there are plenty of trails and rental facilities surrounding the Grand Lake area. In the town of Grand Lake itself, there are plenty of activities year-long including, New Year's Eve Fireworks, Winter Carnival, Pond Hockey Classic, Memorial Day Parade, Fireworks on the Fourth of July, an Arts and Crafts event, Buffalo Barbeque Days, Summer music located in the town park, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater, Halloween Events for kids, and a Christmas Tree Lighting event, as well as many more.
Community
The community of Shadow Mountain Estates is a close and friendly one. Shadow Mountain Estates is set up in a square shape with a grid system. Gemstone Drive runs North and South while three more roads, Topas, Agate, and Jasper all run East and West.

The highest price of a property sold was $1,465,100 while the lowest was $595,000. Inside of Shadow Mountain Estates, there are 17 vacant lots and 74 homes. The water and sewer is handled by Three Lakes Water and Sanitation.
