Hot Sulphur Springs is the county seat for Grand County, and it’s named for the natural springs that flow from the canyons along stretches of the upper Colorado River. Founded in 1860 at an elevation of 7,680′ with a population of approximately 690.
 
Hot Sulphur Springs is located about 30 minutes west of Winter Park, between Granby and Kremmling. Because it’s on the western side of the county, property in Hot Sulphur Springs tends to be the least expensive in Grand County. Single-family homes and vacant land can be purchased for a fraction of what you’d spend in Winter Park or Fraser.
