Columbine Lake

Columbine Lake is a natural and freshwater lake just northwest of Grand Lake, Colorado's largest natural lake. This 45-acre slice of paradise earns its name from Colorado's state flower. The lake offers plenty to do from kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and lots of relaxing. There are no motorized boats allowed on the lake which helps keep the peace and quiet in the neighborhood. The deepest point of this lake is close to 60 feet deep with many of the beaches being shallow enough for children to play in. Many homes are not on the lake; however, Columbine Lake has five lake accesses for any one part of the Columbine Lake to enjoy. The lake has its roots in fishing as in 1945 Howard W. Breckon operated the lake as a fishing camp with his own fish hatchery. The lake today is stocked with fish a few times every year and the docks and benches located along the lake are perfect casting locations.

The Clubhouse

Columbine Lake's clubhouse is filled with fun and relaxation. Located directly next to the lake at Columbine and Aspen Drive. All homeowners in the neighborhood can easily access the amenities. The clubhouse offers a variety of activities including ping pong, billiards, exercise equipment, swimming, a hot tub, and a sauna. There is also a gazebo behind the clubhouse with a perfect view of Mount Baldy (Mount Craig). The clubhouse has an indoor pool (originally outdoor) and the clubhouse has a unique mountain feel. The clubhouse and its amenities all come included with ownership of property in Columbine Lake.
